Hello, I’m Connie Jean!
Welcome to Rustic Wild Faith, a place that I hope you’ll want to visit time and time again.
* First and foremost, I am a Christian (turning 30 years this April)
* I’ve been married to John for over 23 years
* We met online in a gmud chatroom back in 1999. If you don’t know what a gmud chatroom is, well, be thankful! We’re talking some old-school chatting using ascii art, lol
* When we met online, we lived 2500 miles apart (John – Los Angeles; Connie – Ohio)
* We have two kids (ages 22 and 20) and have homeschooled since 2006
* Born in the city (Detroit, MI) and consider a small village in Ohio to be my hometown (lived there from ages 9-19)
* Currently residing in Northern California
* Own three dogs (1 labrador, 2 chihuahuas)
* As of this writing (December 2023), we have 32 chickens
* Reading is my favorite. Some of my fave genres include theology, homesteading, natural living, and contemporary southern fiction
* I’m a true introvert, dislike the camera and speaking in front of others
The goal of this website is to share my heart as I seek to inspire others to be God-focused, reclaim our roots, live seasonally, and walk along the ancient paths. Look for articles coming soon on herbs, oils, non-toxic living, chickens, recipes, theology, and much more.
You can also come along with us as we start planning on our move back East. No date is set and certain things need to happen first, but we are in the dreaming and planning stages. Right now our plans will be leading us to either Kentucky or Tennessee and I absolutely cannot wait. It’s been a long time since I’ve been back East (2002) and even though I’m from that away, I’ve lived out West longer. It’s time to head back to my roots and I’m bringing my family (willingly) with me.
